What’s New in Podium: Contact Tags in Automations

<h2>Personalize Your Automations with Contact Tags</h2>
Podium Automations just got even more powerful! You can now use contact tags in automations to send personalized messages or automate actions with greater precision. 
With this update, you can filter your automation audience using contact tags. Here are some tasks you can automate with tags:
<ul>
<li>Send a birthday message to VIP customers</li>
<li>Follow up with clients based on the services they&#8217;re tagged with (e.g. botox)</li>
<li>Updated contact status to &#8220;Servicing &#8211; Oil Change&#8221; when a contact tagged with &#8220;oil change&#8221; books an appointment</li>
</ul>
<h3>How it Works</h3>
<ol>
<li>Navigate to the Automations Builder
<ul>
<li>Go to the Automations product and select &#8220;+ Automation&#8221; on the top right</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Select Your Trigger
<ul>
<li>Choose an event such as “appointment scheduled” or “on a date (birthday)” to initiate the automation</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Filter by Contact Tags
<ul>
<li>Under Audience, click All Contacts and select Add Filter</li>
<li>Choose Contact Tags as your filter and include or exclude specific tags based on your targeting needs</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Select your Action(s)
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Once your audience is set, choose your actions such as send a personalized message, update contact status, and more</li>
</ul>
