You can now create automations to dynamically update contact statuses based on key events in your workflow, so you’ll always know where each customer stands—without any manual steps.

Here are some examples of status updates you can automate:
- Set status to “new lead” when a new contact is uploaded
- Set status to “estimate sent” after an estimate is sent
- Set status to “servicing” when an appointment is scheduled
- Set status to “payment sent” when a payment is requested
- Set status to “won” after a payment or when a review request is sent
Automate Contact Status Updates with Ease
Our new automation builder makes it simple to set up contact status updates in minutes. Here’s how it works:
- Navigate to the new automation builder
Start by going to the Automation page in Podium. Here, you’ll find the “+ Automation” button in the top-right corner. Click it to access the new automation builder.
- Select your trigger
Let’s say you want to update a contact’s status to “won” once a payment is received. Select “Podium” as your source and choose “payment received” as the trigger. You can then add a filter under “Audience” to ensure the account balance is zero.
- Select a status
Next, choose “update status” as your action and pick the status you want to apply, like “won”. This status will then automatically be applied to contacts that meet your criteria.
